Online lessons & street lessons

Learn the language
the way it is actually spoken.

I'm Omar, with a degree in English Language Teaching from BUAP. I teach English for Spanish speakers and Spanish for foreigners — over Zoom from wherever you are, or walking around Puebla.

01

English for Spanish speakers

For anyone who wants to speak without translating in their head: pronunciation, conversation, English for work and travel. Explanations in Spanish when you need them, English when it's time to practise.

  • Conversation and pronunciation
  • English for work and interviews
  • Grammar explained in your own language
02

Spanish for foreigners

For travellers across Latin America, people who moved to Mexico, and anyone who wants the real Spanish: the market, the bus, the long talk after lunch. Mexican culture comes with it.

  • Survival Spanish for travelling
  • Slang and Mexican Spanish
  • Mexican literature and culture

Two ways to take a lesson

The same attention, two very different settings.

Zoom lessons

Fifty minutes, one to one, from wherever you are. Material prepared for you and written notes after every session.

Traditional sweet stalls on Puebla's Calle de los Dulces

Field classes

Ninety minutes around the city: the market, a café, the parks, the neighbourhoods. You learn by ordering, asking, and getting a little lost.

Four walks you can book

Ninety minutes each, in Spanish or in English. We meet at the starting point and the lesson happens on foot: you order, ask, haggle, get it wrong and learn right there.

A conversation in the Zócalo, Puebla's main square
01 · Zócalo 90 min · $350 MXN

The Zócalo: greeting, asking, chatting

We start in the main square: greetings, asking for directions, how to start a conversation with a stranger. The starting lesson for anyone new to the city.

A craft stall in the El Parián market in Puebla
02 · El Parián 90 min · $350 MXN

El Parián craft market

Prices, colours, materials and haggling. Here you practise the language that actually gets used: asking how much, asking for another colour, saying you'll think about it.

Book this walk
The Templo de San Francisco in the historic centre of Puebla
03 · San Francisco 90 min · $350 MXN

Templo de San Francisco and history

Vocabulary for talking about history, architecture and cities: describing, comparing, telling what happened. With real Puebla context, not a textbook's.

Book this walk
Traditional Puebla sweets for sale on the Calle de los Dulces
04 · Calle de los Dulces 90 min · $350 MXN

Calle de los Dulces and Puebla food

Camotes, tortitas de Santa Clara, mole, cemitas. We taste and we talk: flavours, ingredients, preferences — everything you need to order without pointing.

Book this walk

Take them one at a time, or all four as a route at the pack rate.
